The French car manufacturer Renault is getting ready to launch a sedan model in India. Renault India CEO Sumit Sawhney has confirmed the news.

Renault India is planning to launch its upcoming latest models in the Indian automobile market. Renault India shares a Common Module Family-Architecture (CMF-A) platform with Nissan. The car model Kwid is completely based on this structure.

The latest decision as per the company is that the car maker will launch a new model every year on a regular basis in India. The Indian designed and models will be launched globally too. The latest decision has come in the view of better production results.

Compared to the last year the ranking of the company regarding the production has raised from 9th position to the 5th this year. The CMF-A holds nearly 70 percent of the passenger car market in the segment of sub four meters.

Renault Global CEO, Carlos Ghosn has hinted the new model Sedan at the 2016 New York Motor Show. The newly compact sedan car will feature a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine with 70 PS of power and 5-speed manual gear.

Renault India will launch the vehicle with the least price tag in the compact sedan segment. It can be considered as the competitor for the existing vehicles by TATA’s Kite 5 and Chevrolet’s Beat.
